At Foursquare Ellensburg we believe the parent is the primary spiritual leader of the family. To support you in that role, our goal is to offer age appropriate “Kids’ Church” every Sunday each month, due to COVID 19 our ability to do this is based on people who are willing to volunteer. We have started with the basics and will work to meet our goal as people are ready to volunteer again. As of Sept. 2021, we offer a toddler class in the nursery (1-3 years) at every service; a preschool class in the third classroom (2.5 years - kinder) and an elementary school class (1st-5th grade). We have a Babes in Arms room in the Fireside room for families and nursing mothers with littles not ready for a class; there is a stream of Service on the tv to help keep parents connected. School Age kids will be with families during worship and dismissed to classes just before the sermon. There are activities they can pick up at Kids check in.

Our children’s ministries are run by caring adults and young adults who have had background screenings and have been trained in “Safe Sanctuary” protocols. We believe that those that touch the lives of kids are making impact for eternity as they help children learn about and love our Wonderful God.

Foursquare Kids Teachers serve once or twice a month. They are in the same class each month and are in charge of the lesson plan/basic timeline for the morning as outlined by Maria Manning. In our nursery teachers provide care with love and support and do not change diapers.

Teacher Helpers support the teachers by helping with snack, assisting with the lesson and overall room dynamic support. Monthly sign ups are offered through Planning Center Online (our user-friendly online volunteer platform).

Digging Into Foundations of Faith lays the groundwork for what it means to be a Christian. Kids explore what the Bible reveals about who God is and how God sees us, how we fit in God’s family, and how we live the Christian life. As kids understand core concepts of Christianity, they’ll gain a solid framework for their own relationship with Jesus.
